Rants And Riffs (Volume 1)
Rants & Riffs with Glamma Gregory
Guest Column No. 001 – June 2025
Just five questions. Real answers. No pressure.
We’re kicking off our new guest series Rants & Riffs with a true standout in B.C. cannabis: Glamma Gregory—artist, writer, and cultural connector, currently holding it down at Vancouver’s Local Cannabis Co..
Whether it’s behind the counter, on the canvas, or out in the community, Glamma brings a deep reverence and razor-sharp perspective to the plant. In this debut feature, he dives into what’s sparking his creativity lately, the things that make him rant, and why weed is never just weed—it’s legacy, art, and connection, all rolled into one.

🌞 What’s lighting you up lately?
From sunup to sundown, THC is my muse and my mood ring. I start the day with a dab and a smile—lately it’s been Dabble Farms x Pineapple Reserve serving up a sticky tropical breakfast: honey and banana rosin, because why not start your morning like a stoned fruit salad?
Afternoon sesh? That’s when Sauce Labs’ Purple Poison creeps in with those dreamy terps that whisper “Take a break—but make it cosmic.” And when the stars start to twinkle, I return to my roots—literally. B.C. flower is a love language. A piney, kushy note from small-batch growers like BC Weed Co’s El Chapo takes me home. I like my art (and my weed) with depth, character, and a little rebellion.
😤 What’s grinding your gears (obligatory rant)?
Plastic packaging that’ll outlive us all.
People who think cannabis art is just pot leaves and tie-dye—no shade to the classics, but we’ve evolved.
And let’s talk about folks who treat the plant like a trend, not a culture. Cannabis isn’t a phase—it’s a lifestyle, a healer, a rebel, a sacred connection. Put some respect on her name.
💘 What made you fall in love with what you do?
That word fall is wild, right? Like love is a trapdoor. But really, I stepped into it. I chose this work.
I realized it when I made my first piece that truly felt like me—a blend of beauty, mischief, and medicine.
When someone told me my art felt like a memory they never had… that’s when I knew. I don’t just create for aesthetics—I create to connect. With the plant, the people, and the parts of us we don’t always have words for.
🌀 What don’t people get about your world?
That cannabis isn’t just a product—it’s a portal.
This world isn’t just about being high; it’s about being here. Present. Tapped in. Creative. And wildly human.
People think we’re all just vibing (we are), but there’s a craft to this. The intersection of cannabis and art is where ritual meets rebellion. We’re not just painting stoner dreams—we’re honouring legacy, creating culture, and building beauty in a world that desperately needs it.
⛰️ What’s a hill you’ll die on (even if it’s weird)?
Good weed should make you stop mid-sentence and say, “Wait… smell that.”
Rosin is the golden nectar of the gods—don’t @ me.
Your cannabis should match your mood like perfume, and your lighter deserves the same respect as your best pen.
Also? Art made under the influence of intention (and maybe a little hash) hits differently—it’s alchemy, not just aesthetics.
Big thanks to Glamma for bringing the fire, the feels, and the funk to our very first Rants & Riffs. Whether he’s talking terps or tapping into deeper truths, his voice reminds us why we care so much about this space—and why we fight to keep it creative, weird, and rooted in culture.
